Faith challenges us. It exists to shake us up, make us wonder about life, and discover a bigger sense of reality. Faith confronts us: it makes us look at ourselves, the world around us, and ultimately find more than what we might see with the naked eye.

Whether you agree or disagree with the premise, all we ask is that you listen. You might think you've been told "where it's at" by well-meaning Christians in the past, but just what you might discover to learn they were well-meaning...but wrong.

Counterculture Christianity
"Counterculture Christianity" presents viewpoints, ideas, and thoughts that often do not fall in line with what people associate as "mainline" Christian or church concepts. We are here to give voice to those who have been told their thoughts, feelings, study, and insights aren't "good enough" because they are different - especially when counterpoints are valid. Here, we present ideas that are worthy of your time, your attention, and yes, your belief. These ideas shape our beliefs, our thoughts, and ultimately our community, one that works with those who otherwise might find it difficult to join church, attend social events, be trained or ordained, or find a fellowship network to belong.
In the book of Acts, the following statement was made about the early followers of Jesus: These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also." (Acts 17:6, KJV) In other words, Christian faith should challenge the world, turn the establishment upside down, and represent something beyond political and social aspirations. We are world changers. We are here. We are not going anywhere.
Mission
SAFE (SANCTUARY APOSTOLIC FELLOWSHIP EMPOWERMENT) MINISTRIES is about creating safe spiritual space for all who seek faith, community, and fellowship. It is our heart to make room, with inclusion in mind, for minority communities who would have difficulty finding it elsewhere: Christian leaders, LGBTQ+ community, women, neurodivergent, inmates, youth, and others as we follow our divine commission.
We believe such is accomplished as we affirm gifts, abilities, and endowments, offering spaces for worship, practical training, edification, and spiritual empowerment. It is our goal to create spiritual communities, churches, and ministries designed to thrive through God, growth, and grace.
It is our very heart where spirituality is a practical, applicable part of everyday life; to establish doctrinal foundation and apostolic leadership; and to fellowship and engage as true family, knowing the Kingdom of God is within, among, and around us.
SAFE MINISTRIES seeks to take the Gospel to the nations, reaching every nation with the saving power of Jesus Christ through work with church leadership and church members in the form of apostolic leadership, worship, and education, through television, radio, and the internet, through printed word, conferences, seminars and comprehensive education through Rainbow Missions, Apostolic Covenant Theological Seminary, our spiritual commitment in Sanctuary
International Fellowship Tabernacle - SIFT, our connection through the Sanctuary Network, and through the living witness of outreach to “whosoever,” especially those called to leadership, the LBGTQ+ community, women, inmates, outcasts, strangers, immigrants, the sick, and the hurting. Our vision is to stand as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, empowering others through love, grace, covenant, renewal, service, and unity.
